So.the biggest takeaway is it works fine for what I need, it imported my Parallels. But the MacOS Utilities has those tools too, so I just moved that to the dock. I mostly used the "screenshot" tools where I could "clip" a screenshot or save an entire screen. Parallels Toolbox has some interesting tools. Now, with the impending update to Monterey, who knows if the "free" Fusion will get updated to get it to work together? I have little impetus to update to Windows 11, so at this point thats not much of an issue.

With Parallels, I could have the virtual machine in Coherence mode and let it sit there forever. Plus, I really have to put the virtual machine in Suspend mode if I'm not using it and then Resume again. The "unity" view, which is sorta like Parallels "coherence" view, isn't automatic when you start Fusion and still sucks, so I gave up on using that. pvm file from Parallels imported perfectly, so there was really no starting from scratch. VMWare Fusion was a bit difficult to set up and is quirky to use at times. I like their interface and the ease of use better than VMWare Fusion.īut, as I mentioned, I was having a hard time justifying the subscription cost for basically using just Quicken Windows.
